Claire Woodward designs and creates beautiful lead lights and stained glass in Lancashire and throughout the UK.

Her decorative panels can be seen throughout the northwest from traditional lead lights to one off unique designs. Claire specialises in hand painting and kiln firing glass to the highest standard. Claire offers a full and complete service from her first initial meeting to develop ideas, through to installation. Claire's services also include conservation and restoration, protective works (from the elements, vandalism etc.) and sandblasting glass.

Claire works thoughout Lancashire, Cumbria and across the UK.

Lancashire Stained Glass is owned and managed by Claire Woodward. Claire completed her apprenticeship with Preston College and Abbotts & Co of Lancaster to master the skill of painting on glass. Claire continued working for Abbotts & Co for 9 years and has subsequently worked on a self-employed basis in the UK and Australia learning new techniques and perfecting her trade.

Claire has done a stunning job reproducing the Victorian stained glass in our bay window. The original had been removed years ago leaving us with a gap in the middle of a terrace. Claire copied the style of the neighbours', which were all slightly different and she painted and fired a new design for a centre piece. No one can tell it isn't all original! Two years ago we bought a 1930's house that had lost all it's lovely 1930's stained glass. Claire was an absolute star. Although I had an idea of what I wanted she helped with an original and unique design and the very difficult choice of colour and glass texture.
